Why did AutoPark not detect that I was driving?
Background detection requires Location access set to Always and Motion and Fitness enabled, plus actual movement in a vehicle. Check both permissions in Settings, make sure monitoring is enabled in the app, and note that detection typically starts a short distance into the trip.
Does AutoPark start or pay for parking sessions?
No. AutoPark reminds you and opens the parking app you chose so you can start the session yourself. It does not process payments and does not start or pay for parking sessions.
Why does AutoPark always ask me to confirm that I parked?
Detection is best-effort and not guaranteed, so AutoPark asks you to confirm before opening your parking app. The driving notification also has a manual override you can use to say you have parked.
Which regions does AutoPark support?
AutoPark works in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Your region is detected automatically.
What data does AutoPark collect?
None. Everything runs on your device, and nothing leaves it. There is no account, no tracking, no analytics and no ads. Location and motion are used only to detect driving and parking. See the privacy policy for details.
Which devices does AutoPark support?
AutoPark is for iPhone only and requires iOS 26 or later. It is free, with no in-app purchases.
Is AutoPark affiliated with parking providers?
No. AutoPark is not affiliated with any parking provider. Parking apps are shown in a random order, and their icons are loaded from Apple's public App Store lookup using only the public app id.
How do I clear my trip history or delete my data?
Open Settings in the app and use the clear history option. All trip data is stored only on your device.
Does detection work in the background or with the app closed?
Yes, as long as Location is set to Always and Motion and Fitness is enabled. Notifications are used for the reminders, and a Live Activity shows the current trip on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
What happens if the parking app I choose is not installed?
AutoPark opens that app's App Store page or website instead, so you can install it or start the session there.
